This Brilliant Mind-o-Mine

So I've said this before but it's one of my dreams to be an event planner/coordinator

but until then I have lots of people asking to pick my brain

because let's face it

I'M BRILLIANT

haha that wasn't humble at all.

Anyways

back to the topic at hand

But for real,

I've had a lot of people asking me for ideas for different events such as birthdays, receptions, etc.

So I decided that I would even put some of them out here

to you my fellow bloggers

you can thank me later :)

Of course I'll save the best for when I get myself set-up one day and get paid to do it

but here are some pretty good ones until then.

Date Idea: Ice Cream Hike

Go on a hike (or walk) with your date but before you leave prepare the following.

Get a coffee can, or more suited for Utah county: a Cannary Can.

Choose your flavor and put inside:

Vanilla ice cream:
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup light cream
1 beaten egg (or use equivalent reconstituted dried)
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Chocolate Ice Cream
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup light cream
1/2 cup sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. salt

Then seal that shut with duct tape.

Place inside a bigger can.

I used a 10 gallon bucket

like this one.

Pack ice and 1 cup of salt around the smaller can.

Then you might have to duct tape the lid of the bucket, too.

Then place on the ground and begin kicking it around.

You can kick it as you go on your hike/walk or even just back and forth as you sit outside.

It just has to be moving for about 15-20 minutes.

Then when you think it's done..don't get antsy now..take off the lid and open up the can with ice cream.

It should be ready to go so you can stop and enjoy it together.

You can even bring toppings like nuts, cookie crumbs, etc.

So there you go.

Activity, Fun, Talking time, and Dessert all in one simple and cheap date.

I don't know about the rest of you girls but guys need to get it out of their head that they need to spend their paycheck on us to take us out.

Sidenote: if any girl does expect that. run.

False.

Just be creative.
